The Centre for Islamic Education is a junior high school that was established in 2014 as an Islamic Junior High School in the Yendi Municipality.

The headteacher and staff of the school officially unveiled the anniversary logo on behalf of the Proprietor and the SMC to symbolize the inauguration of the celebration.

The Ten year anniversary of the school goes with a theme “Ten years of excellence, our past, our presence and our Future.”

According to the headteacher of the school, Hon Abdul Razak Fombia, the school is ten years old and they are celebrating the anniversary in a whole year long and that there are a lot of activities that will be coming up during the celebration of the school anniversary.

The school, as part of its developmental agenda, intends to construct a fence wall to prevent encroachment by private developers and also curtail unauthorised movements by students.

The headteacher added that the students would be embarking on a tour to the Tolon Naa Yakubu Tali International Airport, Aliu Mahama Sports Studium, Red Clay and other important places as part of activities to mark the anniversary.

Also, a quiz competition would be organized for the school and some other schools in the Yendi municipality to battle for the ultimate price.

“We will organize Quiz competition, football matches and send the students on tour to the Tamale International airport, Aliu Mahama Sports Studium, Red Clay and other places as part of the school anniversary celebrationsl activities”.

We also have an intensions of making the school as one of the best school in Yendi and the whole of Northern region at large Mr Razak added.

Our vision is to see the school emerge as one of the best schools not only in Yendi but the region at large, Mr. Razak added.
